Job Description
Our client is a High School, now looking for a Social Sciences Department Manager (High School, ID16605)
- Developing the Competency-Based Curriculum for the Social Sciences Department (History, Geography, and Law Education)
- Participate in the development and adjustment of the competency framework.
- Systematize the knowledge and skill standards, and establish learning objectives for the subjects and educational activities.
- Create assessment pathways and establish evaluation criteria.
- Plan and distribute the curriculum roadmap, aligning tasks and assignments with the corresponding learning content.
- The Head of the Department is responsible for guiding team members in their professional growth.
- Organize lessons that cater to both collaborative learning and personalized learning approaches.
- Analyze student assessment data and use the results to improve teaching effectiveness.
- Maintain regular communication with parents, working together to create a supportive learning environment both at school and at home.
- Actively, with a positive attitude, receive and implement feedback from management.
- Organize and schedule departmental meetings and professional development sessions; delegate teaching responsibilities among department members.
- Evaluate department teachers, providing professional growth opportunities for promising educators.
- Report on the professional development progress of teachers in the department to senior management.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in the relevant field of study.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role (such as Department Head, Education Center Manager, etc.).
- Language proficiency: A2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
- Proficient in office software, online applications (Google Workspace), and teaching tools for online education (MS Teams, Google Meet, etc.).
- Strong management and work planning skills.
