Senior Cost Management Specialist

Standard Cost Management & System Governance:

• Formulate, audit, and update standard costs across raw materials, labor, and overhead for all product lines/SKUs within the ERP system.

• Oversee ERP master data hygiene regarding cost center allocation, bill of materials (BOM), and manufacturing routing structures.

Financial Variance Analysis & Performance Tracking:

• Conduct monthly cost variance reviews (material usage, rate variances, overhead absorption), investigate root causes for operational discrepancies, and propose corrective action plans to leadership.

• Synthesize monthly production performance metrics, evaluating product/line/client Contribution Margin (CM1) and monitoring slow-moving/aging inventory levels.

Valuation, COGS Reconciliation & Cross-Functional Cost Reduction:

• Validate the inventory valuation accuracy across Raw Materials, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods, performing monthly Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reconciliations.

• Partner with Production, Procurement, and Quality Assurance units to identify operational bottlenecks, champion cost-reduction programs, and measure financial impact.

• Design KPI dashboards and prepare business review documentation for quarterly management meetings.

Academic & Professional Background:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or relevant disciplines.

• 5 to 10 years of overall experience in cost control, cost accounting, or industrial financial analysis, including at least 3 years of hands-on production costing within a manufacturing environment.

Technical Expertise & Systems:

• Strong command of standard costing, variance analysis, stock valuation methodologies, and COGS reconciliation.

• Solid operational grasp of BOM, operational routings, and cost center framework design.

• Hands-on expertise using SAP CO/FI modules or equivalent enterprise ERP systems.

• Advanced proficiency in data analytics using Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables, Financial Modeling).

Interpersonal & Operational Competencies:

• High level of integrity, analytical problem-solving agility, and capacity to handle month-end closing pressure independently.

• Strong cross-functional communication and negotiation skills.

Language Skills:

• Fluent in English (both written and verbal) with demonstrated ability to prepare financial models and present analytical reports to top management.
