Chief Accountant

 

Job Description

Reporting to: CFO

 

§  Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations, and all accounting matters and reports (internal & external)

 

§  Manage accounting team

 

§  Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies

 

§  Maintain General Ledger & Trial balances w/t end of month reporting and reconciliation

 

§  Cash management and Cash flow forecasting including vendor scheduling, Cash balances, and weekly Cash reporting

 

§  Monthly, Quarterly & Yearly reports to Management Board, Tax Department, and other government offices regarding accounting and finance issues

 

§  Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and controls

 

§  Cost and expenses control. Establish and maintain systems for cost-sensitivity analysis and early-warning of cost-overruns

 

§  Review & approve payment vouchers & journal entries

 

§  Calculate all variances of actual cost versus standard cost and identify the reasons behind them

 

§  Ensure the control and management over inventory and non-current

 

§  Compliance with local and corporate accounting policies, internal controls and tax regulations

 

§  Implementation of financial  and accounting policies, procedures and ERP systems

 

§  Assisting in forecasts and preparation of fiscal budgets and re-forecasts

 

§  Work with auditors on annual audits

 

 

Job Requirements

 

§  University Degree in Audit/ Accounting/ Finance plus CPA or ACCA or similar qualification

 

§  At least 5 years’ experience in related position

 

§  Have experience in setting up an Accounting Dept
