Job Description
Our client is a foreign-invested manufacturing company, now looking for a QC Manager (Furniture, Salary Negotiate, ID16625)
- Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) for managing Supplier Quality and Performance.
- Perform market research on suppliers and manage strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Oversee and carry out the qualification, auditing, and selection process for suppliers in collaboration with teams from Quality Assurance (QA), Engineering, and Procurement.
- Propose and lead initiatives focused on continuous improvement to enhance suppliers' overall performance in terms of time, cost, and quality, involving both internal teams and supplier resources.
- Provide regular updates on personal activities, ongoing initiatives, and project progress at all levels.
- Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality Control teams to validate new material samples.
- Collaborate with Procurement to ensure compliance with all RSC Quality Requirements in Purchase Orders and Contracts.
- Participate in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for selecting suppliers.
- Develop a strategic plan aimed at improving the processes and product quality of subcontractors, in partnership with the Quality Engineering team.
- Mentor and train members of the Suppliers Quality & Performance team, as well as other teams across Quality, Engineering, Procurement, and other departments.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality Management preferred, or Business Management.
- Over 5 years of experience in the position of QC Manager in the wood or furniture industry.
- Good command of English.
