Job Description
Our client is a foreign-invested company, now looking for a Purchasing Manager (Garment, $1400, ID17284)
- Lead and manage the Purchasing Department, ensuring the timely procurement of materials, fabrics, and other goods necessary for the apparel production process.
- Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings, lead time reduction, and supplier performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts, and ensure supplier compliance with company standards.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, fabric innovations, and suppliers' capabilities to ensure high-quality products and competitive pricing.
- Collaborate with the production and design teams to align material requirements with production schedules and design needs.
- Oversee the forecasting and inventory management of raw materials, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing overstock and wastage.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of goods and manage any supply chain disruptions.
- Develop and manage the department budget, track expenses, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, quality standards, and environmental guidelines in procurement processes.
- Train, mentor, and develop the purchasing team to improve efficiency, performance, and professional growth.
Requirement
- Gender: Male/Female, Age: 30 - 45 years old
- Graduated from college/university with related major
- At least 3 years of experience in international purchasing in the garment industry, specifically at garment factories.
- Good at English
