- Lead procurement team.
- Manage relationships with farmers, collectors, intermediaries, and major traders.
- Negotiate high-value purchasing contracts and commercial terms.
- Evaluate supplier performance via quality, delivery, and compliance scorecards.
- Identify and develop new origin sourcing opportunities to expand the vendor base.
- Coordinate with the farmer partnership programme on supply volume commitments.
- Monitor daily market prices, local crop progression, and competitor footprints.
- Synthesize market variables (supply/demand forecasting, export trends) into strategic insights.
- Execute field assessments and crop surveys in core sourcing hubs.
- Manage commercial exposure, define position limits, and execute hedging/FX strategies with the CFO.
- Provide regular commodity market briefings to the Group Research team.
- Liaise with Sales, Planning, Production, QA, and Sustainability to align with customer contracts.
- Drive supply chain traceability and vendor compliance with international standards.
- Collaborate with Finance teams on seasonal cash flow requirements and working capital optimization.
- Direct, mentor, and perform regular performance appraisals for a procurement team.
- Build cross-commodity capabilities and drive local succession planning.
- Represent the corporation at agricultural forums and key industry networking events.
- Join strategic client meetings to provide expert market perspective.
Requirement
- Age: 35 to 45 years old preferred.
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Agribusiness, Economics, or Business Administration (MBA/Master's preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in F&B or agricultural commodity sourcing/trading.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a solid managerial or leadership capacity.
- Deep understanding of agricultural seasonal cycles, supply elasticity, and food safety standards.
- Language: Fluent English and Vietnamese.
