Job Description
Our client is a foreign-invested company, now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer (Plastic Parts, $1300, ID 21353)
- Design and develop 2D/3D plastic components for electrical and electronic products.
- Conduct R&D activities and apply DOE methodologies to improve product performance and support new product development.
- Collaborate with Electrical Engineers to ensure designs meet electrical, thermal, mechanical, and safety requirements.
- Select appropriate engineering plastics based on product performance, manufacturability, and industry standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and global R&D centers to support project execution.
- Apply DFM, DFSS, and DFMEA principles to optimize product design and manufacturability.
- Coordinate with mold suppliers to optimize tooling design and resolve molding-related issues.
- Perform engineering analysis, prepare technical drawings, BOMs, and maintain engineering documentation.
- Support material selection and continuous product improvement through collaboration with suppliers and sourcing teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
Requirement
- Male or female, under 45 years old.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in a similar role within engineering plastics or related manufacturing industries.
- Strong expertise in R&D for coils and magnetic components.
- Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Creo.
- Good command of English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a technical environment.
