Mechanical Design Engineer (Automation)

New Production Line Setup & Machine Design

• Lead the setup of new production lines and launch new products.
• Design tools, jigs, and machines (either full or partial components) and production stations.
• Research and develop new technologies to enhance production.

Machine Concept Design & Development

• Develop machine workflows, jigs, and tools.
• Create machine design concepts and detailed breakdowns.
• Define detailed requirements and collaborate with external suppliers to design jigs and tools for new products.
• Supervise machine assembly, debug with the pilot team, and implement improvements.
• Prepare operational guidelines, machine settings, and conditions documentation for production.

Production Readiness & Optimization

• Conduct mass trials and ensure machine readiness for full production.
• Collect feedback and make adjustments post-launch.
• Apply Engineering Change Notices (ECN) to machine design.
• Investigate and integrate new technologies into production machinery.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

• Troubleshoot quality and technical issues with machines and tools during trials and pre-production phases.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to improve machine efficiency, quality, and reduce costs.
• Propose new designs to address recurring issues in current machines.

DWG (Drawing) Management & Supplier Coordination

• Oversee machine drawing releases and part ordering.
• Maintain up-to-date drawings aligned with the current machine status.
• Coordinate with suppliers and the tooling team to verify tooling feasibility.

Supplier Support & Goal Alignment

• Support suppliers during setup or trials of new machines, jigs, and tools.
• Understand and contribute to achieving section goals for quality and delivery.
