Managing Director (Steel)

Enterprise Governance & P&L Leadership:

• Direct and govern all operational, commercial, and financial functions of the Vietnam Business Unit, holding primary accountability for bottom-line profitability and sustainable business expansion.

• Formulate comprehensive operational budgets, evaluate capital expenditure programs, and enforce stringent cost management frameworks across all manufacturing functions.

• Serve as the primary strategic liaison reporting directly to the Australian Executive Board/General Manager, aligning local operational execution with corporate objectives.

Greenfield Expansion & Multi-Site Operational Excellence:

• Spearhead the technical setup, commissioning, and operational integration of newly established production facilities and industrial sites.

• Supervise cross-functional department heads across Sales, Engineering & Design, Costing, Quality Management, Procurement & Supply Chain, HR, Finance, and HSE to ensure seamless production cycles.

• Implement lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement protocols to optimize throughput, reduce lead times, and control operational overheads.

International Market Penetration & Supply Chain Control:

• Drive global export manufacturing initiatives targeting high-compliance markets, specifically Australia, Europe, and the United States.

• Establish robust quality governance frameworks ensuring all finished steel structures strictly adhere to international civil and structural engineering codes.

• Architect resilient supply chain networks, material procurement strategies, and vendor ecosystems to support high-volume manufacturing activities.

emographic & Educational Background: Open to both male and female candidates under 47 years old. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or relevant technical fields is mandatory.

Professional Tenure & Technical Competencies:

• 07 to 10 years of senior executive management experience (General Manager, Managing Director, or Country Head) within heavy steel structure manufacturing, steel fabrication, or rolled steel processing industries.

• Demonstrated track record in greenfield factory commissioning, plant scaling, and managing end-to-end P&L performance for medium-to-large industrial facilities.

• Proven expertise in export-oriented manufacturing, navigating stringent technical, structural, and regulatory compliance standards for Western markets (Australia, EU, US).

• Strong leadership capability in managing multi-site teams with a hands-on, decisive, and entrepreneurial ownership mindset.

Language Proficiency: Fluent English skills across all four competencies (listening, speaking, reading, writing) for executive board reporting and cross-border stakeholder engagement.
