Job Description
Our client is a foreign-invested company, now looking for a Lab Manager (Footwear, Open for Local & Chinese), $2800, ID17082):
- Ensure that lab management and staff operate independently of any undue internal or external pressures that might compromise the quality, evaluation, or integrity of lab operations and test reports.
- Oversee the lab facilities to ensure smooth and safe operations, including monitoring safety procedures, maintaining appropriate room temperature, ensuring proper technician practices, and adhering to protocols like SOPs and 6S principles.
- Assess the volume of newly developed materials each season, evaluate the lab's testing capacity, and plan necessary expansions to meet testing demands.
- Strengthen the lab's testing capabilities by upgrading its layout, equipment, and personnel to maintain high standards of quality and effective management as needed.
- Guide, inspire, and support the team to consistently meet daily testing objectives.
- Arrange cross-training for team members and implement periodic job rotations within sub-teams to balance workloads and cultivate versatile skills among technicians.
- Develop and manage the schedule for monthly and annual calibration and maintenance of testing equipment to ensure consistent and reliable test results.
- Work closely with stakeholders, including the material team, BUs, PD, and bottom team, to address testing-related issues such as tracking progress, managing timelines, coordinating arrangements, and updating reports or standards.
Requirement
- Male/Female, Under 55 Years Old
- college degree or higher
- At least 06 years of working in a footwear lab, including 4 years as the same position manager
- Proficient in English
