Job Description
- Use all the possible sources of information to identify the validated origins and potential new suppliers.
- Propose/ Select new suppliers and new products which satisfy customer’s needs, company policy (ethics, etc.) and Vietnam regulations.
- Ensure product availability and promotional plan through effective import plan.
- Policy & procedures: Review of all current internal processes and policy relating to product specification, supplier contract, import logistics, quality control and develop and enhance operational policies and procedures for Loss Prevention, minimize costs and risks.
- Keep survey of the latest trend in the market, develop shoppers, competitors survey to ensure business development.
- Request for quotation and prices negotiation with suppliers.
- Propose competitive sourcing solutions aligned with purchase order annual plan.
- Monitor the completion of orders from shipment to arrival with suppliers and other departments.
- Anticipate, solve and escalate problems during import process.
- Prepare and follow up import orders until finishing selling goods (including category development action plan & follow up).
- Follow-up with Hygine Quality Dept to do self-declaration for new SKU listing.
- Work together with the team members to achieve common goals.
- Coordinate between suppliers and customers to achieve best solution for all parties involved.
- Coordinate with team members and internal departments for relevant issues or changes.
- Report business activity, progress and status, and record them by using assigned applications/ systems.
- Manage the issues or problems to his/her manager/ superior with solutions proposal
- Assist the team in sourcing, offering, order follow-up and any other merchandising activities.
- Handle products samples request, reception and arrange it in showrooms (when applicable).
- Generate reports and communication tools.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience in international trading, import–export, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of international trade practices and retail business operations
- Solid background in FMCG / Fresh Food products across global markets
- Excellent communication skills; fluent in English (written & spoken)
- Strong time management, multitasking skills, and ability to work under pressure
- Proactive, reliable team player with high integrity.
