Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE

The Event Manager is responsible for leading the planning, management, and execution of all marketing and organizational events. This role ensures that events are delivered to a high standard, creating impactful experiences that align with strategic objectives, strengthen brand image, support lead-generation efforts, and meet departmental needs. The manager also oversees a team of event professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accuracy, and excellence.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Event Strategy & Data-Driven Execution

  • Lead the strategic planning, coordination, and delivery of organization-wide events, lead-generation initiatives, and ambassador programs.

  • Develop and manage comprehensive event plans from concept to completion, defining KPIs and tracking ROI to guide future strategies, with a focus on generating leads.

  • Oversee all logistical aspects of events, including budget management, vendor negotiations, on-site coordination, and post-event evaluation.

Collaboration & Risk Management

  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure event content and objectives align with overall organizational goals.

  • Create and implement thorough risk management plans to ensure the safety of participants and staff.

Branded Merchandise & Marketing Collateral

  • Collaborate with internal creative teams to manage branded merchandise and marketing materials, including sourcing, production, inventory management, and distribution.

Team Leadership & Operational Oversight

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Events team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.

  • Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and support the professional growth of team members.

  • Manage the Events budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and financial policies are followed.

  • Maintain relationships with external vendors, agencies, and suppliers to ensure optimal service and value.

Requirement

  • Male/Female

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Hospitality, or related fields. Master’s degree or professional certifications are a plus.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 5–6 years of experience in event management with a strong portfolio of successful projects of varying scales.

    • At least 3 years in a leadership role, directly managing and developing an events team.

Technical / Professional Skills:

  • End-to-end event planning and management for both small and large-scale events.

  • Budget management and vendor negotiation.

  • Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.

  • Proficiency in using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for lead capture and tracking.

  • Data analysis and reporting skills.
