Job Description

Our client is a foreign-invested company, now looking for a Duty Manager (Hospitality): 
  • Report to and coordinate closely with the Front Office Manager on all matters affecting guest services and hotel operations.
  • Support and guide all departments to ensure smooth and cohesive daily operations.
  • Oversee Reception and Reservations teams, and assist other departments during peak periods.
  • Respond promptly to guest concerns, ensuring professional resolution and personalized service.
  • Ensure VIPs and loyalty guests receive special recognition, including personal greetings and farewells in coordination with Guest Relations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of front-of-house and back-of-house areas to maintain cleanliness and operational standards.
  • Monitor staff conduct, grooming, uniform, and hygiene to uphold brand standards.
  • Review guest credit, rate variances, and approve discounts or rebates as needed to support revenue management.
  • Promote inter-hotel sales and upselling by ensuring front-line staff apply FIT marketing techniques.
  • Act effectively in emergency situations and maintain thorough knowledge of all hotel emergency procedures.
  • Participate in workforce planning with HR and budget management with the Director of Finance.
  • Provide updates and feedback in Front Office meetings to support continuous improvement.

Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hotel Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Front Office, Guest Services, or a related field, including supervisory experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, team members, and external parties.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Front Office Systems (PMS).
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
  • Customer-oriented with a proactive approach to service excellence.
